About Me

I, Subhash Narhar Deshpande am a Mechanical Engineer with post graduate Management. I have spent four decades in Engineering Industry at different levels. I started work on drafting board and retired from Board Room.

I possess quite a few qualities to become successful in his career. My  qualities include Leadership Quality, Memory, Analytical mind and above all good people skill.

I was known during my career as one of the most successful Project Managers.

When I rose to senior level, I have given lot of training on different skills which include Presentation Skills, Communication, Team Building, Project Management and leadership.

Company chairman writes “I have known Subhash from the mid-seventies when I had just joined Humphreys and Glasgow Consultants after my stint in the U.S., completing my education and a brief career there. Subhash was then a young employee, and was establishing himself as an all-round result-oriented hard-working and go-getting project engineer. He had endeared himself to all around him whether in his own department or other parts of the company. While Subhash and I steadily climbed the executive ladder, upon my ascent to the helm of the company, he became a trusted friend and senior colleague, while we grew the company at a break-neck pace. He was always willing to offer wise counsel to me and to others in difficult times. His brief departure from the company in pursuit of greener pastures was an unwelcome event for the company and personally for me. However, Subhash happily returned “home”, and the succeeding years saw his climb all the way to the Board-room of the company, as Director of Operations and later as Deputy Managing Director.”

I retired with full sense of satisfaction and sense of achievement. I do not consider the achievement in terms of position or money. It is the satisfaction of what I have done in my career that mattered. If people remember me for what I did for the Organization and for them, I would have the satisfaction of achievement.

Here are some of the messages I received on my retirement

GSK
- For me it has been a great pleasure working with you. Without doubt if it was not for your support, enthusiasm and leadership, setting up the ETC would have been much more difficult.

Pfizer - You have always shown great understanding of the issue on hand and have provided solution befitting the situation. Your man management skills coupled with outstanding technical abilities were amply demonstrated during our association.

John Knott – Thanks for your support over the years – you can retire knowing that your contribution made a difference to the success of the company. A great achievement.

Phil Levene – I know that the organization, both in India & outside, will miss your wisdom and experience.

Naresh Patel – A boss like you will be very difficult to find. To me you were hardly acting as a boss but more as a friend and that is the reason I will miss you wherever I am.

Deepak Agrawal – I have certainly enjoyed working with you. I know that you deserve a lot of credit for providing leadership to overcome some of the internal barriers that existed.

Adish Mulik – You have always been a charismatic personality, a role model, guide and mentor for people like us. Your absence will be always felt by everyone and you will continue to be in our hearts.

Rakhi Som – You were like role model for us and personally I have learnt lot from you.

C Sudhakar – You have always been in a position to cope up with all the pressures that your job demands, both physically and mentally. Unconsciously / unknowingly, I was influenced by your behavior.   A lot of decisions which I took in my life are based on my observations of your approach to similar situations.

Violet Serrao – I still remember me as a new entrant to this Company & working with you. You have taught me a lot of things on how to get by with my work and it helped me a lot. I will miss U.
